Machine Operator - Rotating Roster - Steel Manufacturer

Programmed are currently looking for experienced machine operators who have a strong safety focus and are comfortable in a toasty manufacturing environment.

In this role, you will be working with a wide range of steel products including structural steel, precision tubing, and sprinkler and hydrant pipe systems. You will be a part of the manufacturing team but will liaise with the distribution team.

About the Role:

• Manual and touch pad machine operation
• Manufacturing steel products
• Repetitive, physical work in a factory environment
• Rotating shifts (2 weeks of each)
  • Day 5:48am-2pm
  • Afternoon 4:48pm – 10pm
  • Night 9:48pm – 6am
• PAID breaks
• Use of overhead/ gantry cranes
• General product movement
• General housekeeping
• Quality checks
• Forklift duties if licenced

About You:

• Prior experience with machine operation
• Valid Forklift Licence highly regarded but not essential
• Experience with cranes highly regarded but not essential
• High attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions
• Strong safety focus
• Reliable and punctual
• Own transport
